I think there's appeal in the gimmicky powder-to-cream application, but not without the given drawback that is the powder fallout during application. I personally don't mind it, but some might be careful of breathing/keeping a steady hand to avoid a mess before the formula turns to cream.

I've never experienced a product like this. First off, the color is great if you like vampy lips. I wish colourpop had more bold colors like this, instead of the ubiquitous nudes. I would say definitely line your lips first. This goes from powder to cream and if you do nice even strokes, you should achieve the look you want. Pat your lips together to make sure all parts are covered. If you don't take your time, it will look uneven. And the more strokes you take, the deeper the color will become. I do wish the bottle was a different shape because it's kind of awkward to hold, but it goes with the theme, so I get it. I'm hoping they come out with some other colors in this formula, maybe some lavender/purples or pinks.
